HEALTHY HAIR COMMANDMENTS!

 Thou shall not….

    • FRY HAIR
Blasting thin strands with high heat literally burns your tresses! Thicker coarse hair on the other hand requires a higher heat setting but thinner hair needs only a warm temperature, so you don’t singe it.
    • WASH TOO MUCH
The daily washing and straightening tends to suck the life out of your locks. It’s important that you stretch out your washes.

    • GET ROUGH

You should never tug at your hair as its’ ends can break easily resulting in frizz! When detangling, washing and styling be gentle with your tresses. Ensure that you use you conditioner and carrier oils to aid in the process of washing and styling as it makes the process easier.

  • SKIP DEEP TREATMENTS OR PROTEIN TREATMENTS

It is imperative that you deep condition at every shampoo session. This is required for the strength and moisture of your lovely tresses. Protein treatments however can be used once a month or less.

Thou Shall….

  • PROTECT HAIR AT NIGHT

Always wear a satin bonnet and/ or use a satin pillowcase at night. This creates the difference between looking our best or looking a hot mess. Also it is important as we do not want our hair rubbing against our cotton pillowcases or sheets which causes our hair to become dry resulting in breakage. This is a definite NO! NO!

  • ALWAYS READ PROUDUCT INGREDIENTS

It’s important that your shampoo and conditioner contain water as one of the first three ingredients. Also the major components and most important in your products are the first five ingredients.

  • TRIM ENDS

This is necessary to remove split ends and can even help you attain longer hair lengths. The frequency of your trims is dependent on your particular hair.
